Hi, Just bought my first kit to try my hand at building a super-strat based on a Parker fly clone. I hope I don't come across as a total numpty - I'm fine with body carving the wood and finishing and I think I'll be Ok with setup. I can follow a wiring diagram and am OK with soldering. No wiring diagram came with the kit. As per title it has 2 humbucker with 2 volume and 1 tone - as evidenced by only the 1 capacitor. I've found plenty of diagrams (guitarelectronics.com)that use a single 3-way... Hey,  having a problem with hooking up two humbuckers with just 1 vol. and no tone with a 3 way les paul selector switch, are there any diagrams about you know of?  Many thanks

So I took out the preamp from my old acoustic guitar, which has volume, bass and treble horizontal potentiometers, and solder it to a piezo disc. In the early days, Gibson used a 250k pot for the Volume and a 500k for the Tone. Modern guitars use two 500k pots. If you feel the Tone is too dark, you can try 1 Mega-ohm pots or no-load pots.
